Why are you supposed to wear gloves when applying sunless tanning lotion?

i usually just put it on like lotion but i got a new kind that said "ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN APPLYING" does it really matter?

Why are you supposed to wear gloves when applying sunless tanning lotion?
as long as you minimize the amount of time that it is on your hands you will be fine. be sure to exfoliate after.. (just your palms) really well to ensure that it doesn't give you the aforementioned "orange palm effect"

;)

Good Luck!
Reply:Your hands will turn orange if you don't.
Reply:Oh yes. If you don't, you will have ORANGE palms that look totally horrible (like you have a disease).
Reply:your palms will get "tan"
Reply:you dont HAVE to...its recommended. if you wash your hands well after application you'll be fine.
Reply:Yes your hands will be a whole differant color because your using a lot on your hands. Directions are there for a reason! :)
Reply:DO you want your palms to be as orange as your thighs?
Reply:Sunless "tanning" lotion functions by dying your skin. Because your hands will get maximum exposure while applying it your body, they will have concentrated "success."

They will be orange.
Reply:Nah, forget the gloves, orange palms are "in" this winter.
Reply:It does actually, if you dont you'll end up with orange palms.
Reply:Your hands could turn dark orange/brown if not scrubbed after applying. if your hands are dry the lotion may not wash off.
