I need a 20 thousand dollar GOVERNMENT loan for a tanning salon i'm buying soon. Where do i get it?
SBA will guarantee a loan for a small business but you must submit a good business plan and have a lot of your own money at risk. As far as I know other than the blind vendor program there aren't any other business loans from the federal government.


Can you imagine the outcry if the government was giving out loans to people to compete with the businesses others have invested life savings into?
Reply:Not going to happen - sorry. From the government or anywhere else unless the bank of mom and dad is willing to finance you. You don't get to borrow $20k, with no security for the loan (like a car would be when you finance it), especially with no credit established.





The tanning salon would NOT be considered collateral for such a loan - a very large percentage of new businesses do not succeed, so the business, since it's not established yet, doesn't give any reason for a lender to think you 'll be able to pay back the loan.
