i dont know but can i go with u 2?? :P
Reply:5 minutes
Reply:She should start out at 5 minutes the first day. It is not good to use tanning beds daily. Have her use it again maybe 2-3 days later this time for 10 minutes. Continue following this pattern and eventually her skin will be conditioned and she'll gradually develop a tan within three weeks time.
Reply:It really depends on the bed. Is it a 10 minute bed, a 20 minute bed or other? Is it a stand up? Sounds like she tans well. But these are questions to ask the person working there that knows the beds. Tanning beds are dangerous so make sure you go somewhere where the staff is knowledgeable and willing to take the time to work with you. One way to tell is how they "orientate" the new costumers. Do they walk you into the rooms and show you the different kinds of bed? Do they seem to understand them? Does the staff clean the beds or are you required to? Do they make you where goggles? and most importantly do they explain the risks and how to minimize them? Do they suggest you where some kind of lotion? Wearing lotion keeps the skin moist and helps to keep it from drying out. Good luck! (On a regular 20 minute bed I would suggest 8-10 minutes the first time, on a 10 minute bed 3-5 minutes and on a very high quality bed 3 minutes). See how she does. If she burns (and hopefully she wont!)she must wait til it is gone until she tans again. TANNING IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN BURNING AND A BURN WILL NOT TURN INTO A TAN!
Reply:I agree with Kate...about 5 minutes....she should do that for about a week and GRADUALLY work her way up a couple minutes at a time each week. Also, using a salon-brand bronzer helps.

Is it true that you shouldn't shower after you go tanning?

Showering after using a tanning bed or laying in the sun will not have any effect on your tan, because the damage has been done. You shouldn't be tanning, period. Skin cancer aside, you'll age prematurely with wrinkles and "liver spots", which are really "sun damage spots". So if you care about your looks, don't tan.... use a sunless tanner.

Is it true that you shouldn't shower after you go tanning?
dont know i dont tann
Reply:yea the water may burn your skin
Reply:Only if the "tanning" is wipe on.
Reply:no it's not true, i always get a shower when i get home from tanning. you have lotion on you still, and i know they wash the tanning beds after each use, but how good! take you a shower.
Reply:For about an hour at least...think about it. You've just "dyed" the color of your outer most skin cells, do you want to wash all that off?
Reply:I have been tanning for years, and I have heard if you are using a bronzing tanning lotion which is very popular right now you should not shower for a couple of hours to let the lotion soak into your skin. I have heard people say they shower right after tanning and still had a golden tan. I personally wait a couple hours before showering.

Why does my skin look like a giraffe after applying sunless tanning products?

It looks splotchy as if I was sprayed with paint. I only used the creams. Is there a technique or a product that will prevent this?

Why does my skin look like a giraffe after applying sunless tanning products?
The product could be a factor. The next is the application technique. The texture of the cream should also be easy to spread and blend.

I firmly believe in airbrush sunless tanning salons.

They are the best ways to achieve a tan without the splotchy streaks and the harmful rays of the sun.
Reply:You have combination skin, the oils you produce block the creams and wash off, leaving non oily areas tanned and the rest white.

I had the same issue, I don't really know how to solve it unless you just tan naturally or at a salon.
Reply:Another option is your skin is not properly moistureized. You could have dry spots and the skin is absorbing more than the others. Try properly exfoliating and moisturizing before applying sunless tanning products.

I am an realy light skined, and it's real hard for me to get a tan, any suggestions??? besides tanning salons

my friend layers jergens natural glow for face %26amp; banana boat sundial on her face, %26amp; banana boat sundial %26amp; l`oreal sublime glow on her body...she swears by these 3, she uses them all daily %26amp; she is super dark!!! she doesn`t have the orange color either!!!

there are alot of tanning lotions that are super good now. try coppertone
Reply:lay out in the sun with tanning lotion or tanning oil. if you don't want to lay out at all you can use sunless tanning lotion
Reply:try TAN TOWEL or some kind of self tanning lotion, but be careful because if you don't put them on evenly you will have tan spots all over you!

good luck!
Reply:Girl, I could bet you a lot that I am whiter than you are! My skin is as white as paper almost. I dont even bother with trying to tan or using tanning lotions. Its to much trouble, trust me.

All the cream ones make you orange and all the spray-ons leave spots. Just DONT DO IT! Listen to me, I know from experience! Besides, your natural skin color is sooo much sexier then anything you can do to kill your skin or find on the shelves at walmart. Besides, EVERYBODY wants a tan and does what they can to get one! Why not stand out of the crowd with your white skin! Show them thats its not so bad!
Reply:i think porcelain skin is BEAUTIFUL. look at nicole kidman and keira knightley and scarlett johanssen - they're super pale and absolutely stunning.

if you're really set on the tan, though, try MysticTan. it's $30, but it lasts for like a month. You get it done at a normal tanning salon, but it's spray-on, so not actually tanning, if your parents are worried about skin cancer and such. promise you won't be orangey or gross - it's professional, not do-it-yourself crap.
Reply:get the.....jergens.........stuff its for natural glow and it can make u tanner and even though i have median to tan skin it worked for me.

Was wondering if someone can give me some info on spray tanning like how much it cost and how long it last?

well i have had them..

you have to be careful because you could end up with streaks bc of not whiping properly.

they are usually start around 25 dollars and get pretty pricey for the really good ones

they have you watch a video when you get it and depending on where you go you may turn orange...

**** it will fade after a few days and eventually just fade away

Was wondering if someone can give me some info on spray tanning like how much it cost and how long it last?

Reply:hey depending on where you live in Australia min$25-$40 it usually lasts up too 1 week make sure you exfoliate well before you go too get it done and after dont shower for at least 12 hours but make sure you moisturise really well during the week to keep your tan looking hot good luck girl

Whats the best way to protect your hair while in the tanning bed?

My hair is damaged from hair dyes. Is it necessary to cover my hair?

Whats the best way to protect your hair while in the tanning bed?
Try to cover your face as well if possible. I used to go to a tanning salon every day and 2-3 years later I have 2 large sun spots on my face. The friend I used to go to the same tanning salon with, have even darker %26amp; larger spots. Be careful.
Reply:You can cover your hair with a towel.
Reply:ABSOLUTELY!!! WHAT THE TANNING BED DOES TO YOUR SKIN, TH UV RAYS DO TO YOUR HAIR!!! COVER UP!!! A BANDANA OR TOWEL...!
Reply:a tanning cap
Reply:I dont see any reason why a tanning bed should hurt your hair but if you really want to you can put a salon towel over your hair.
Reply:Use a hand towel. They will usually supply one to you when you walk in. Wrap it around your head like you would when you get out of the shower. CAUTION make sure not to cover your hairline, neck or ears, it will cause unnecessary tanning lines!

Can you listen to an mp3 player while laying in the tanning bed?

UV rays have no effect on stuff like that. you people must live in caves, cause if you think it'll do damage, then the sun would damage it too. Better yet, listen to them. dont listen to it in the tanning bed, and for heavens sake, dont take it outside, cause the sun will melt it. feeble-minded half-wits

Can you listen to an mp3 player while laying in the tanning bed?
If in a tanning bad no because it will ruin the mp3 and thats bad!
Reply:if you want to risk something bad happening. i dont know what can go wrong but i bet something can
