Do you have to be eghiteen to go to a tanning salon and what should i get done?

At most Tanning Salons...you need to be 16 if you are 14+ you need a parents signature. Start in a level 1 bed for 5 min...see how your skin takes it...it can be addicting don't go over 1-2 times a week and then once you get the tan you want...1 per week...but give your skin a break every few months and stop tanning like during the winter etc. I worked at a tanning salon for a year and people can go crazy with tanning so moderation is key! Now I only go tanning if I am going on a trip or once in a blue moon for extra color....also try spray tanning....more expensive but better for your skin!

Reply:First, STAY AWAY FROM TANNING SALONS!!!!!!!!!!! If you're under 18, you probably have good skin, though you may believe you're too pale. You're not! Tanning beds, or roasting in the sun for hours will eventually prematurely age your skin to the point where you look like an old cracked leather purse! You'll get wrinkles earlier, your skin will be dehydrated, you'll damage the collagen that keeps your skin firm, and you'll increase your risk of skin cancer and malignant melanoma (very frequently fatal).

Just because the fashion industry tells us that tan skin is sexier or more desired, don't believe them. Their job is to sell products, and they don't care about you as a person. They just want you to buy their stuff, and to heck with the results.

Keep your skin as it is, and take good care of it. Drink plenty of water, don't start smoking (or if you already do, STOP), drink minimal alcohol (or none if possible), use gentle soap, astringent and use lots of moisturizer (not the cheap stuff, which is oily, but things like Clinique products) to keep your skin healthy. Eat right, use minimal make-up, and try to use those NOT tested on animals (just my personal bias since I think it's cruel), with as many natural ingrediants as possible. Avoid excessive exposure to the sun, and use strong sun block if you're going to be outside. Wear hats to shade your face, and loose, comfortable clothes to shade your body.

Believe me, in later years, you'll be glad you didn't bake yourself like a Thanksgiving turkey! Just enjoy your natural beauty, and be yourself, not some clone who lives by the dictates of friends or TV commercials.
Reply:No i'm only sixteen and i go once in a while....

Make sure that you do the first level about three times because since you've never done it before your body might react differently to it.. And do min. amount too!!! First time i did it i did 10 min. and came out red as a tomato lol!! So yeah hope it helps....
Reply:You don't have to be 18.
