Is a natural paint in our body that protect the skin from the sun...if you used a tanning lotion in a wrong way or if you stay for a long in the sun your skin will react and you will look like that...next time use properly the sun tan lotion and follow the direction of the bottle...never spend to many time under the sun...and don't worry it will fade with the time and the proper care...

Reply:I know this is not a popular answer, but tanning booths can permanatley damage your skin! You should get looked at, after all it would be awful to have those brown spots get darker and stay forever!
Reply:You may also get these patches if your skin is dry in some areas, its sometimes better to exfoliate before any kind of tanning to rub away any dry spots.
