How soon after you get a tattoo can you go tanning?

2-3 weeks to swim, tan etc.

How soon after you get a tattoo can you go tanning?
2 weeks
Reply:I'd wait a couple of weeks and even then I'd cover the tattoo with guaze or something.
Reply:2 weeks min. 3 weeks is the best
Reply:Not until it's completely healed.
Reply:Do not expose tattoo to sun or tanning bed until fully healed. (No sooner than 1-2 weeks.)
Reply:As long as it is completely healed it should be fine. I never had any problems tanning with mine. You should put plenty of sunblock on it though because you don't want it to fade or peel.
Reply:When I got my tattoo the man told me not to expose it to a lot of sun and he told me not to go tanning for at least 6 months. So if you want a tattoo and you want to get a tan, wait until winter to get the tattoo.
Reply:i wouldnt go tanning until your tattoo is fully healed and that depends on your body. however, remember that even after a tattoo has been healed, tanning and exposure to sun will fade the tattoo (unless by tanning you mean getting that fake spray stuff).
Reply:I would wait 2 weeks! I am anxios too! I am so pale and I just got a tat like a week ago and it is still peeling. Just be patient...Good things come to those who wait LOL
Reply:AFTER A WEEK AND PUT LOTS OF LOTION ON IT
Reply:I would wait six month's, these freaks don't know what their talking about.!
Reply:After the scabs are gone. Everyones body heals them differently. But you will still want to cover the tatoo with sunscreen if you have alot of color. Tanning fades it. Unless you want to waste your money

Is it ok for a guy to use sit out by the pool and use tanning oil to get tan?

sure!!! why not!!! i`ve seen plenty of guys sunning themselves!!!

Is it ok for a guy to use sit out by the pool and use tanning oil to get tan?
eww no. guys are just supposed to get tan naturally. like when they are working outside or swimming. its ok if you are doing it with like your girlfriend though. if i offended you i didn't mean to.
Reply:perhaps, but there really is some chance of you getting cancer. Wear sunscreen and eventually you will get a tan.
Reply:sure.. believe it or not, a lot of guys do it.. acually alot of guys go tanning in tanning beds as well. I work at a hair salon that have tanning beds and before i started working there i never knew how popular guy tanning acually was.. there are so many !
Reply:of course it is. now, you might get called names but that doesnt matter as long as you're getting your tan. you can do whatever you want. it's a free world. go right ahead
Reply:Why not? A guy has a right to get a tan just as much as girls do.
Reply:No, it is not OK. That is a foolish idea and I think tanning oil is a waste of money. You'd rather just play basketball outside a lot and you'd get a tan and get stronger.
Reply:Sure! Why not! I think it's fine, i mean why wouldn't it be? Plus a tan could help get a few dates too! That's always a plus!!! Hey... if you want to sit by the pool and tan, go for it!
Reply:go for it

How much do you think it costs to buy a tanning salon?

I'm thinking most likely an established salon...in a suburban city in washington (i'm not giving specifics for privacy). Can you give me a general price range...?

How much do you think it costs to buy a tanning salon?
Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success %26amp; happiness in all your ventures!
Reply:50k to 150k will probably be enough to start-up. Check out mergernetwork.com, it is one of many websites where businesses are listed for sale. You can get an idea of what they cost and how much they make. Establishing your own salon from scratch may be cheaper than buying a ready business, but of course there is added risk.

Good luck!
Reply:Hiya. I tried looking this up and really didn't find anything that the two other answers didn't already have listed. The links they posted are very helpful.

I did read that it may be cheaper to start a tanning salon from scratch than buying an established one. At least it is on my end of the country(new jersey).

Sorry, I couldn't find anymore info 4 yah.

Hmm....winter sure has whitened me! I'm white as caspar. A tan would be nice 'bout right now.......lol.

hmmmm~a nickname for yah? yes! lemme think........

How do I prevent brown splotches when using self-tanning lotion?

I am using Jergen's Natural Glow and I still get splotchy.

How do I prevent brown splotches when using self-tanning lotion?
first, take a long shower and use a loofa sponge! got to remove the dead skin.

next, use an excellent lotion make sure to get your knees and elbows because these are troubled areas. make sure you let the lotion soak in, get it on evenly.

then use the self tanner. i hear using a loofa and making sure you use lotion helps prevent the uneven look of tanners.

u can also go have a fake tan sprayed on in a tanning salon.
Reply:I tryed that product not too long ago, and it did the same to me, also, it looked extremely fake, very orange-like, and it was uncomfortably sticky feeling, so i just gave up on the product and have decided to just sit out in the sun with tanning excelerator on when the weather heats up nicely.

Best lotion for an all around natural glow without tanning?

I have been using Jergens and Aveeno which claim it will darken your skin subtly without streaks or anything. Sometimes I kinda see it working and other days I don't. What kind of lotion seem to work for you?

Best lotion for an all around natural glow without tanning?
Use a self tanner with the lotion. It's a darker shade but also natural, not streaky. I use Neutrogena self tanner or the similar target brand.

Rub both products in your hand together then apply. Also exfoliate well in the shower for good application.
Reply:Revlon Skinlights and I read somewhere that Pepto Bismal works
Reply:Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer by Jergen's

Does anyone else get turned on while in a tanning bed?

No...I worry if I've been in there too long and burn! Or if I don't tan evenly. That's what I think about, lol.

Does anyone else get turned on while in a tanning bed?
Ooh, cancer and wrinkles. How sexy.
Reply:tannin beds are for women, guys in there are always freaky
Reply:Um, NO!, and i'm supposed to be the deviant?!?!
Reply:No, I used to go on it sometimes every now and then during the winter last year and it actually scared the crap out of me. I thought what if it fell on me, or broke, or electricuted.

I just tried to stay positive until those miserable 20 minutes were over.

Thank god I don't do it anymore.

blondie.
Reply:never been on it.
Reply:No......I got Arc Eye while on mine years ago...Ive never known anything so painful.I had severely burned Cornea's and was blind for days.

Ive never been on once since.

How long is it ok to be in a tanning bed? and how often?

How long really depends on your skin color. Ask the staff at the tanning salon for thier opinion. For example, I am very fair skinned, so I don't go for more than 10 mins (but I don't go very often). The beds only go for a maximum of 20 mins, because even if you are very dark, it is not safe to go in longer than that.

It is best to go only once every other day or less! It's really not safe to go at all, but if you're gonna go, go every other day or less.

The people at the tanning salon I used to go to said if you are fair-skinned, start out at 7 mins. Then, every other time you come back (if you're going regularly), add 1 or 2 mins. Use your judgement on that one, if you got burned the last time, don't add more, you'll get burned again.

So in other words, if you started on the 1st of the month, you'd go

April 1- 7 mins

April 3- 7 mins.

April 5- 8 or 9 mins

April 7- 8 or 9 mins

April 9- 10 mins

Unless you get burned-- then don't go until it is fully healed!

I go about 2 times a week for 20 min. Each facility has there own rules. Ask them for their recommendations

What design should I get when it comes to tanning bed stickers? What is the best design and the sexiest???

Why do some ppl have 2 go 2 the tanning salon when they can just go to the beach for free?

????????????????????????????????????????...

Why do some ppl have 2 go 2 the tanning salon when they can just go to the beach for free?
By tanning, you can get a base tan and you won't burn as easily when you are out in the sun
Reply:Because they are to lazy
Reply:I guess because not all of us live near a beach.
Reply:People shouldn't tan at all. Sooooo bad for you.
Reply:For me its the base tan... otherwise i would burn like crazy!!!
Reply:cause you can be nude in a tanning salon
Reply:Believe it or not, some people don't actually live near a beach!
Reply:Maybe because they don't live by the beach? I've never seen the ocean.....and it's cloudy here.
Reply:faster? umm. what else would i guess. to much trouble carrying all the shtuff you need to go to the dammm beach...umm. i never been to a tanning salon......maybe cause its private and they can go in buck a$$ naked and get a whole body tan

I have these little red rashes after i go tanning they last about 4 hour then turn into faint white spots?

skin cancer.

I have these little red rashes after i go tanning they last about 4 hour then turn into faint white spots?
I advise going to see a doctor. It might be nothing but better to ask than get cancer.
Reply:Its heat rash most probably, i used to get it too
Reply:That's skin damage...like where it cooked in the tanning bed. Use sunless tanner...it won't cause skin cancer. Tanning beds will.
Reply:See a doctor. Though more than likely it is just spotting which many people get when sunbathing. My upper arms get it along with the tops of my feet.
Reply:My gf works at a tanning salon and she once told me about this happening to her because of the type of lotion she used. I think if they are called a bronzer, or have the words heat or anything like that they can be really bad for you. They cause all of the blood to come to the surface of your skin, it appears you have a red rash anywhere you've put the lotion.
Reply:Would advise you don't sunbeds/tanning tubes at all. Sounds like your skin is too sensitive. Go fake or go natural (carefully).
Reply:probably an allergic reaction...maybe to the lotion or the the cleaner they use on tanning beds. I used to get it too. Haven't been back since. I don't get a rash from the sun, so I figure that's a much better deal. Just to make sure you are only suffering from an allergic reaction, I would go see a doctor.
Reply:Try another lotion

Has anyone ever been to Outlandish Hair style and tanning?

in the Avondale area.

I've never been there and I have an appointment, but I dont know what to expect price wise.

I know 45-50 is the typical dye price, but I want multiple colors and a cut.

anyone have any idea?

Has anyone ever been to Outlandish Hair style and tanning?
no, i have never been there. cuts are usually 25-40 and dyes are usually 40-70. if you want multiple colors it will probably cost a little more.

How old do you have to be to go tanning alone?

I am 17 and want to go alone...do i need my parents to register me or am i old enough?

How old do you have to be to go tanning alone?
usually 18 without parent permisson.
Reply:It depends on where you live. It's about fifty fifty with the states. Some you only have to be 16. And some up until the age of 18 you'll need a parent to sign in front of a worker from the tanning salon, and some will just want to call your parent to get permission if you're under 18.

What's an easy way to remove the self tanning lotion that I goofed on?

i hear vinigar and lemon mixed together...You could give it ago..

But what i normally do is shave my legs, it takes it off straight away,,,As long as you use shaving cream not soap or anything else.

Does anyone know a type of suntan lotion (for tanning bed) that works really well???

Australian Gold is what I end up using every year. It's fantastic and i've used alot of diferent kinds. The smell is really sweet, tho.

Happy tanning! I can't wait to start....2 more weeks!

Does anyone know a type of suntan lotion (for tanning bed) that works really well???
Yes! Almost Famous...comes in a gold bottle. It is a triple bronzer that you can put on all over...even your face! It makes your tan last for about 7 days!

I would also ask the rep at the tanning salon, too, because some others may work better for your particular skin tone!
Reply:I like Sinful and Extreme Dare made by Swedish Beauty. These lotions are pretty intense...if you use them only go about 5-7 minutes for your first season tan, then gradually increase your time.

Reply:i just use banana boat spf 4 (deep dark tanning lotion) apply every 15 mins because of the minimal spf protection... works for me gives me a dark gold color-people ask me if i go to professional tanning salon and i say YES!(wink-wink)!!
Reply:If I want to get a deep golden tan all over. I rub down with some 100% Vegetable Oil. I would stay away from canola oil. You'll smell like popcorn when your done. The best stuff though is a thin layer of crisco. You have to put it on thin though or else you get splotchy. Hope this helps.
Reply:Ask a tanning professional. They should ask you questions on whether you want a non-bronzing or bronzing lotion, then whether you want a tingle or a non-tingle lotion. Also the level of your current tan will help them determine a good lotion just right for your skin type. You should always use a tanning lotion while tanning indoors. It help keeps you moisturized which is very important while tanning. I currently use Cal Tan's Ionxy a non-bronzing/non-tingle lotion. It comes in a step 1 accelerator and step 2 maximizer.
