How do you get rid of orange spots from self-tanning lotion?

Help!!!! I need the discolored spots on my knees and toes gone in two days! And I ran out of my good exfoliator trying to get rid of them!! I've heard loafas sometimes work. Is this true??!!

How do you get rid of orange spots from self-tanning lotion?
yeah- your just going to have to scrub them alot and with soap. the reason why loafas will work is because it gets off the dead skin cells. Your skin can only grow so fast, so when it does just scrub the orange spots and they will drastically fade if not dissapear.

The coloring only goes on the first couple layers... It should be gone in two days- but scrub to be safe.

next time- put lotion on elbows knees and toes before hand- and then when you are done take a rag that you dont care about and wipe over those areas it will help get the excess color out.
Reply:strong make-up remover, maybe ?
Reply:They actually have cloths that are made especially to even out streaks and blotches. Check the link out. They have it in stores like Rite Aid, Walgreens and other drug stores. And there are other brands too. Just look for a "sunless tanner corrector."

How long do you have to lay in an artificial tanning bed to get the same effect as outdoors?

10 minutes in tanning bed per hour in the sun

How long do you have to lay in an artificial tanning bed to get the same effect as outdoors?
It doesnt matter..they are both bad for you. The tanning bed places lie and say they block out the harmful rays that the sun gives off but its not true. Neither one of them are good for you.

Buy some jergens or vaseline intensive care with bronzer in it.
Reply:once your skin starts to crackle, you better turn over
Reply:it depends on the tanning bed thier are all different level beds so ur best bet is to consolt with ur local tanning salon...
Reply:When the process of indoor tanning is respected it can be more effective than tanning outdoors. Indoor tanners are exposed to a scientifically controlled dosage of UV light carefully formulated to tan you with a minimal risk of sunburn. That kind of control is virtually impossible outdoors, where variables such as seasonality, time of day, location, geography, and weather conditions make sunburn much more likely. Overall, the results and convenience of indoor tanning allows a year round healthy looking tan without concerns or prolonged exposure to the burning rays of the sun.

Is there an alternative way to protect the eyes when tanning in a bed besides goggles?

Who likes lines?!?!?!?!?!?

Is there an alternative way to protect the eyes when tanning in a bed besides goggles?
protect your skin and eyes but not going on them at all.

Who likes cancer?!?!?!?!?!?!
Reply:close them
Reply:I always just turn the facial lights off, been doing it for years and my eyes are fine, then I just buy darker makeup, but if you're one of those naturally beautiful girls that don't wear make-up...I don't know what to tell ya!
Reply:There are some tanning places in my area that have these gold stickers. They work really great and you can use them in a booth as well because they stick.

But, if they're not available and you use a bed, try using the goggles without the string. If you lay on your back then they should stay.

No lines!! :)
Reply:spray on tan.... the professional kind...
Reply:I own a tanning salon.. and when people ask me.. I tell them that they can close them. Just take off the goggles every other time and then the lines will reduce.. but BE CAREFUL because the eye lids are VERY sensitive and will BURN easily.. so be careful!!! :) Hope that helps!
Reply:They make these little cones that go on your eyes. I use Planet Beach tanning salon and they always have some on hand incase you forget your goggles. I'm sure they are available to order from somewhere.

If you can't find them, this is what I do with my goggles...I just don't use the elastic band. I let them sit on my face for eye protection, but they aren't tight. I never have lines.
Reply:Better than the run-of-the-mill goggles are the stickers. They have a reflective coating on them, and have been tested and deemed safe. They don't cover as much of the eyes as the goggles do. Not to mention, you won't have that bar over the bridge of your nose to worry about, and the overlap on the sides if the goggles are a little too wide. I used to tan frequently, and was even able to use these in a booth standing up. They are oval in shape and have wedges cut out, so when you peel them off of the backing, you overlap them, essentially making a cone. It adheres directly to your eye (lids). I hope you find something that works for you, and that this helped! Take care.
Reply:closing the eyes does not prevent harmful UV penetration to the eye. UV penetration can occur up to 6 mm, which is much deeper than the average eyelid. Using goggles or the gold stickers is about the only REAL safe way to protect your eyes if you are going to tan. Quarters don't work, as they allow UV around them (you must have a tight fit around the actual eyeball). If you are going to tan, just accept the tan lines and use some sort of concealer or other make-up to hide them. Your eyes are too important to risk in being vain about tan lines.
Reply:When I go to the Sunbeds, sometimes I do not wear the goggles, so I go under the be and as soon as I am under I keep my eyes closed, don't open your eye, you'll hear the buzzer when your time is up, go under close your eyes, and just relax, but don't open them up and be sure o put some sort of sun lotion on your eye lids etc, and the rest of your body,
Reply:I used to just close my eyes but i would put a SPF sun lotion around my eyes to protect from getting wrinkles

Do you believe a lot of wrestlers go to the tanning bed?

what do u think...

Do you believe a lot of wrestlers go to the tanning bed?
I think all of them.

And the waxing salon, the pedicurist, the manicurist and corset fitters.

Only joking. You're all big manly men who do no such thing.
Reply:It sure looks like they do...plus all the other places the other person listed above. How else could they get like that?
Reply:Sure they do, where as bodybuilders go to tanning bed, AND spray tan and oil the heck out of themselves.

It's all part of the show.

And there's no business like show business.

How long should you wait to shower after you go tanning ?

If it is a real tan then it doesn't matter.

How long should you wait to shower after you go tanning ?
If it is a sun tan, then it does not matter.

If it is a spray tan, then maybe 5 hours

Same for a sunless tanning lotion.
Reply:I always heard 4 hours after you go..
Reply:Go right after drying off. Why get some fake tan that only looks good but has no health benefits like real sun has.

I think I have sun spots on my skin from tanning.. what do I do? They seem to be spreading?

I have what I think is sunspots. They're round spots on my chest. They're the same color as my skin for the most part. I thought that I was just peeling and/or my skin was dry but then I'm noticing more spots. They seem to be spreading and getting bigger. What is going on???

Get them checked by a doctor asap.

They could be a melanoma (Cancer)

DO NOT STAY IN THE SUN TOO LONG
Reply:dont spend so much time in the sun with so much skin exposed...............but ifyou have to use sunblock........its not made to stop the tanning process but to protect ur skin from burning...........thats what those spots are.......so be more resonisable with ur skin its all you got........but you may want to think about seeing a doctor too......the excessive sun can cause skin cancer
Reply:SKIN CANCER!!
Reply:tell your doctor immediatly you could be getting skin cancer form tanning best of luck!

How soon after you get a tattoo can you go tanning?

2-3 weeks to swim, tan etc.

How soon after you get a tattoo can you go tanning?
2 weeks
Reply:I'd wait a couple of weeks and even then I'd cover the tattoo with guaze or something.
Reply:2 weeks min. 3 weeks is the best
Reply:Not until it's completely healed.
Reply:Do not expose tattoo to sun or tanning bed until fully healed. (No sooner than 1-2 weeks.)
Reply:As long as it is completely healed it should be fine. I never had any problems tanning with mine. You should put plenty of sunblock on it though because you don't want it to fade or peel.
Reply:When I got my tattoo the man told me not to expose it to a lot of sun and he told me not to go tanning for at least 6 months. So if you want a tattoo and you want to get a tan, wait until winter to get the tattoo.
Reply:i wouldnt go tanning until your tattoo is fully healed and that depends on your body. however, remember that even after a tattoo has been healed, tanning and exposure to sun will fade the tattoo (unless by tanning you mean getting that fake spray stuff).
Reply:I would wait 2 weeks! I am anxios too! I am so pale and I just got a tat like a week ago and it is still peeling. Just be patient...Good things come to those who wait LOL
Reply:AFTER A WEEK AND PUT LOTS OF LOTION ON IT
Reply:I would wait six month's, these freaks don't know what their talking about.!
Reply:After the scabs are gone. Everyones body heals them differently. But you will still want to cover the tatoo with sunscreen if you have alot of color. Tanning fades it. Unless you want to waste your money
