Reply:I burn big time, so I slap on the old sunblock 60 and swim the whole time practically. I hate suntanning. Besides it takes me like 1/2 an hour just to get IN the water so, I'm not going to get out right away after that ordeal!.
Reply:I swim, float on my raft and get carried out to sea and paddle back, and never tan(whats the point of it?).

No, I think they are pretty :-) I am pale and freckled and avoid the sun purposely. If you are pale, that's you. Don't risk anything with tanning - It's not worth it! If anything, go for a fake tan at a salon or grab a kit to do yourself. Good luck!

Reply:I prefer pale as long as the skin is nice and smooth. Tanning your skin will make it look ugly as you get older.

I don't get why people want to change their skin color. Pale girls want to tan while dark girls want skin lightening cream (some, not all).

Reply:Neutrogena makes an excellent bronzer that you can apply to make your skin look good. It wont look yellow!

Reply:Why should it be ugly? But if you feel uncomfortable, just use a self tanner or a shimmer lotion or sprays (look Sally Hansen´s) which is basically makeup.

Reply:well it can be but it depends what u are wearing- warm colours make your legs look tanned and even. if u really dont like showing your legs if they are white tho try a light tanning moisturiser

Why aren't you supposed to shower immediately after using a tanning bed?

How long are you supposed to wait for? Does it really make that significant of a difference if I shower asap opposed to if I wait an hour?

The normal range of waiting time Is between 5 and 9 hours depending on the type of tanning you have received.





Waiting this amount time will give your tan time to set in. If you shower after wards you are basically washing the tan down the drain and therefore wasting your money.
Reply:wait 24 hours. I guess because after you tan, your skin is still darkening and you don't want it to fade away.

Reply:I don't really know how true it is. But I've heard, to get the full effects of tanning, you should wait 2 hours before showering. I always wait, tanning is expensive and I don't want to chance it.

Reply:You should not be laying in a tanning bed at all due to the wrinkling and huge risk of skin cancer, but if you were to lay in a tanning bed, you can shower whenever you are ready.
Reply:You can take a shower whenever you want to. Your tan is not going to wash off so you got nothing to worry about:) I take a shower right after I get home. But its mostly because I hate that burnt skin smell...
